Monthly Meeting: Astronomy 101 – Thursday November 21st, 7:00pm
November 21 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Our November meeting will be an open question and answer session about getting into amateur astronomy. What kind of equipment should a person get? What should they avoid? What eyepieces are important to have? What filters should one use for this nebula or that nebula? Are Barlows a good idea, or is one better off just buying eyepieces? What apparent field of view is the most one can actually use in a particular focal length? And so on. We will attempt to answer any and all questions about entry-level amateur astronomy. Bring your questions and your expertise and join us in this informal exchange of information
The meeting is at 7:00 on Thursday, November 21st at the Eugene Science Center planetarium, 2300 Leo Harris Parkway in Eugene (behind Autzen Stadium). It looks like road and parking lot construction is over for the nonce, so you can access the Science Center from either end of Leo Harris Parkway.
