Open Clusters by Robert Asumendi. What are open clusters? Are they just a bunch of stars, or something much more special? Which are the best ones to look at? Have any entire human cultures been based upon them? What do they tell astronomers about the universe? Is our own star part of an open cluster? At this month’s EAS meeting, Robert will dive into these questions and more. This in-person meeting is held at the Eugene Science Center Planetarium and is open to the public. Non-members of EAS are asked for a one-dollar donation.
