You’re invited to join us at our next First Quarter Star Party on Friday May 29th.

The EAS holds monthly star parties at the College Hill Reservoir on the Friday closest to the moon’s first quarter. These star parties are free and open to the public. We’ll provide the telescopes and will show you what’s up there in the night sky. Or if you have a telescope of your own, bring it and join in the fun.

The College Hill Reservoir is located on Lawrence Street between 23rd and 25th Avenue.

Star parties start at dusk or 6:00, whichever is later (9:00 this time of year) and last as long as there is interest. Everyone is welcome to come, and we usually have many different types of telescopes set up for viewing (some invented by our members!) Remember to dress warmly, it can still be chilly at night this time of year.
